Welcome to Sawyer Nymphs

My grandfather, the late Frank Sawyer MBE, developed the Sawyer Pheasant Tail Nymph and his other famous patterns over fifty years ago.

He wrote about them extensively in 'Nymphs and the Trout', the book which followed his classic 'Keeper of the Stream' set in the Avon Valley and its famous chalk-stream. Today Frank Sawyer's nymphs remain some of the world's most versatile and deadly patterns. They are suitable for still-water and rivers anywhere around the globe.

Hand tied from the finest materials

My patterns are tied in the manner first devised by Frank Sawyer and remain faithful to the original designs. The nymphs are either tied personally by me, or one of my specially trained team.
